| The State Government needs to carefully reconsider its policies governing the Green Wedge Zone and Rural Conservation Zone, and remove many of the restrictions placed on landowners and their properties that reside in these zones. Presently, heavy industrial companies are exploiting the Green Wedge Policy, whilst rural landowners and farmers are left to pay exorbitant land rates on properties that cannot operate viable or sustainable businesses.
