to be honest, mansociety's third year didn't spark much
interest except from hackers who continuously (and
unfortunately, successfully) tried to shut our dalnet room
down. (we were forced to take refuge in undernet and take
small steps into retrenching) i've always stressed that
mansociety is a peaceful group. i've heard some of the
reasons why other people are kinda pissed with us or with a
few of the members but hey, live and let live. i maintain
that despite negative impressions and sentiments by people
who are quick to judge yet slow to understand, mansociety is
a unique success story. mansociety has achieved a lot, has
gone through a lot -- inspiring a handful of new and old
groups to tread similar paths. but mansociety cannot rest on
its laurels and must continuously reinvent itself. now, more
like a family, with a warm and welcoming ambience even
newly-screened applicants and non-members will attest to,
mansociety is poised to climb new, uncharted heights on its
fourth year beginning september 11, 2004.
